JOpenStore

WELCOME!

   Welcome to the home page of JOpenStore, the free and open source e-commerce application. The goal of this project is to provide a low-cost (free) , reliable and user-friendly business environment, which will enable it's users to easily set up and maintain their web-based business.

     This project is still in its early development stage, and does not have much functionality at the moment. We hope this will be improved very soon. For now, you can download the surrent development sources from the CVS. Information on how to do it can be found here.

    JOpenStore is being developed with the help of SourceForge. Just like all SourceForge projects, this is an open-source application and is released under GPL license. For more information about GPL license and open-source in general, visit the Free Software Foundation website.

    Now something about technical issues. JOpenStore is Java based application. We chose Java because it is a platform-independent language, which can run on almost every operatin system that is used on Internet. Apart from this, it is also designed to run on all major appliaction servers and database servers. If you are interested in technical details, check out the documentation page.

     If you find this project interesting, you can get more information on the project's SourceForge page .  Once again, this project is still in it's infancy (doesn't have even a basic functionality yet), but we hope to get it working soon.
